HopCat is one of the best places to go to get food and drinks in East Lansing. They were voted #1 in best craft beer and best fries in the Lansing area. They have over 100 craft Michigan beers and always rotating out with new ones. Their fries will be the best fries you've had. They call them crack fries. Their addicting and you'll be sad when you run out. They lightly batter the fries with beer and then sprinkle their signature cracked black pepper seasoning. It comes with cheese sauce for dipping.

Crunchy’s has been ahead of the crowd for awhile now. Before microbrew beers were popular, they decided to get more options of beer and got in the microbrew beer area. They have the support of many Michigan microbrewers. They now have 27 beers on tap. Crunchy’s is also know for having the best burger in town. It's a 1/2 lb crunchy burger that comes with many different toppings. You can order a bucket of beer here. 270 ounces full of beer to enjoy. A great place to get a lot for not a lot of money.

Peanut Barrel is the Long Island capitol of East Lansing. It's made perfectly and you can mostly find one on every table. They were voted best patio in East Lansing. There's usually a line to sit on the patio, but the wait is worth it. They have great happy hour specials and daily specials. Sunday is Long Island for $4.25. Mondays have $5.95 pitches of Labatt and Miller Lite. Tuesday $1.00 big drafts and $1.00 off all pints on Wednesdays. Thursday, Jack, Jim and Jose are $3.00 a shot all day. Great place to drink.

Beggar’s Banquet is a great bar to go to. They have 20 rotating craft beers on tap. This place is the only place to enjoy a one-of-a-kind hand-crafted oatmeal beer. You can't find it anywhere else and only during the summer. The menu offers comfort food with a twist of elegance. Like macaroni and cheese but with Munster, Havarti and smoked Gouda cheeses. Tuesdays is $4 drafts. Wednesday wine night with a wine half off. Thursday is $4 drafts and half off appetizers. It has less of a college student feel here.
